Daisy Belle Dress?

Thank you all for your help. I finished all of the panels and just finished the eyelet round. It says to join with slip stitch to first ch-2 sp. after first cluster. Then , ch 1...work 3 sc in same ch-2 sp. What is a "space"?

In crochet the starting chain does not count as a row. So yes, you will turn the chain to start the first row of directions.

Are you sure that you are not referring to the front panel as opposed to the sleeve? The pattern starts by working the front panel of the dress.

FRONT PANEL
Row 1: With MC, ch 17 (19, 19, 21) || 21 (21, 23, 23), sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, mark free loop that last sc made in for attachment of Sleeve, turn––16 (18, 18, 20 || 20 (20, 22, 22) sc
This is the start and it is referring to the sleeve so that you mark the last sc so that when you come to the sleeve section you will know where to start it.
