You do a great job of setting it all up! :D It does make sense to me. I haven't worked this up recently, so I'll believe that what you are saying is correct and that the instructions for right-hand and left-hand crocheters should be reversed. I may try to work this up again when I find a spare moment. I really like this sweater as it can be made for boys or girls.

That is the thing, I don't think they need to be reversed. At least as far as the stitch markings go, there is no need for special instructions for lefties. If the lefties follow the same instructions for the righties, they automatically end up with the stich markers in the correct location for attaching the panels.

I think. I'll work on it too as soon as I finish my second hat for Lisa.

Let me know what happens? What I did, was made paper cut outs and pretending I was going left to right. I will have to do this again and check

I am working it up just following the instructions for right-handed crocheters (i.e., lefties mark the same stitches in Row 1 as the righties), and it is working out so far (I am on the body still).

I think what is going to happen is that for right-handed crocheters, Side A will be the right side for a girl cardigan and side B will be the right side for a boy cardigan. For lefties, it will be the opposite (Side A will be the right side for boys and Side B will be the right side for girls). This is my gut feeling, I'll let you know when I get to the edging.

Lisa,

I never finished the cardigan but I think what I said earlier about a right-handed girl's sweater would be a left-handed boy's sweater (and vice versa) is correct. A lefty crocheter makes a mirror image FO from that of a righty and a girl's sweater is the mirror image of a boy's sweater.

In a way, this makes the pattern easier, as all you have to do is note that for left-handed crocheters, they should follow the girl sweater instructions for a boy sweater and the boy instructions for a girl sweater.

That does make sense Jill.. I will have to go back through this pattern and take a look. But I remember doing that for other patterns as well.
