In Rnds 2 and 3, need to sl st in ch-2 sp of each V st first before beginning beg-V-st as follows (addition in blue):

Rnd 2: Sl st in first ch-2 sp, beg-V-st (see Stitches), V-st (see Stitches) in each ch-2 sp around, join with sl st to 3rd ch of beg ch-5, mark ch-2 sp of last V-st for attachment of next Layer.
Rnd 3: Sl st in ch-2 sp of first V-st, Beg-V-st, V-st in each ch-2 sp around, join with sl st to 3rd ch of beg ch-5.
