mountain lodge

Postby brenda0549 » Mon Aug 10, 2009 6:11 am

I am working this pattern and it says to fpdc around ch 2 and fpdc together

I can not remember how to do a fpdc on two stitches together and my pattern does not have the stitch definition

Brenda-
Lisa has the instruction for that stitch on page three. You need to wrao the fpdc round both of those stitches(ch 2 and fpdc).
Here is a site to help with a diagram- http://www.crochetcabana.com/stitches/s ... c-bpdc.htm

Try to see if I can define it better. Yo,insert hook from front to back behind the ch2 and the post of the Fpdc {combining the two stitches together}, pull up loop past that Fpdc to yo, (draw through 2 loops) twice. This tends to pinch those two stitches together on the previous row. Hope I explained it better. :D
This is how I did it, unless Lisa means something different.

instead of going around each one independently you treat both as one and go around them both at the same.

yo insert hook from front to back to front around both the fpdc and the ch-2, yo and pull up a loop, [yo and pull through 2 loop]2 times

Instead of going around one post at the beginning you are going to go around both the post. Yo, insert hook from front to back(go across ch-2 and first st) to front again around post of st indicated and pull up a loop, [yo and draw through 2 loops on hook] twice. Count the ch-2 and the first stitch as one, if that helps you.

I think we all just answered at the same time. We all said about the same thing just each a little different. With all our explanations I think she will get an understanding of what we are saying.
