It sounds like those are the stitch counts. If it is at the end of the line after a long dash, those are the counts you should have for that row. Let me know if you have any other questions :)

Re: help with pattern term

Hello,

This is my first time doing intermediate level work and I'm having some trouble understanding the pattern.
ex: turn ---17 hdc, 41 (44, 46, 49,51) ch-2 sps
My issue is with the long hyphen... the pattern is telling to turn my work and do what? Also 41 (44,46,49,51) ch-2 sps I'm a bit confused.

Thanks,
Brandi

Those are the stitch counts. If it is at the end of the line after a long dash, those are the counts you should have for that row.

You should just turn your work and continue on to the next row. :D

41 (44,46,49,51) ch-2 sps corresponds with the size you are making.

I tested that design and it is gorgeous! Be sure to post a picture when you finish.

That is so awesome! Yes if you have any other questions, come back and let us know. Even though a lot of patterns are termed intermediate, they are very detailed. A lot of it is just understanding the pattern style :)
