Hi I'm a new crocheted and I am having trouble understanding what to do. I am working on the body row 4 and I am at the point were it tells you turn - crochet 13 sh, 13 sc.

What are you suppose to do ... .???? As I will be going over the row that has sc ,sk 2 sc sh in next sc ,sk sc

Can you explain???

Hello,

I am not sure if I am following you of exactly where you are stuck at. Is this Row 4 of Row 5?
After you turn, the 13 sh and the 13 sc is the stitch count in Row 4. Then when you go to Row 5, the instructions say to Sl st (slip stitch) in the first 3 dc of the first sh.

Let me know if this helps or makes sense? If not, please write which part exactly that you have completed in Row 4 and the instruction portion that you get stuck on. Thank you :)

I am on row 4 ]I am at the point were it says turn 13sh, 13sc but not sure how to do this as my row 4 has the pattern already so were do I crochet the shells and the sc?? ( I have a whole row of shells so when I turn how would the pattern go?) ie sc,sk next 2 sc, shellin next sc, sk next sc would it be offset from the first row of shells.

I have not done this pattern but I think Lisa wants to know if you have finished the whole row 4? If you count from the beginning of the row 4 do you have done 13 shells and 13 scs within it (before the turn)?

I ahve not worked the pattern either, but the 13 sh and 13 sc are the stitch count for that row, so when the row is finished you should have 13 sh and 13 sc, if you do then turn and continue to row 5

By looking at the picture it seems that you would have a shell on top of a sc and a sc put on top of the middle of a shell. Lisa states to sl st (slip stitch) in the first three dc (double crochet) of the shell. I am assuming that you will ch (chain) 1 and put a sc (single crochet) in the next dc or in the same st that the last sl st was made, if its in the middle of the shell. Example: if the shell has 7 dcs, the middle would be the fourth dc and a sc should be put there-3 sts on either side of that sc just made is left undone. A five dc shell would have the middle st of the third one and the sc would go there-2 sts on either side of the sc undone( not crocheted in). In the beginning the sl sts are to get you to the middle of that shell
I am hoping this helps and I am not confusing you. Without the pattern in front of me, I am at a loss. I don't know if Lisa has a pictured stitch guide to help you. She usually does.
5th row- sc- shell-sc-shell
4th row- shell-sc-shell-sc (seen from the back after you turn)
