Underskirt of dress

I have the dress completed , but unless I manually pull at the underskirt it doesn't show. Rows crocheted as instructed. Must I tack it to the top skirt?

Do you mean it does not come out a tad underneath showing as a second layer? If that is the case, what I would do, is undo the edging row, and make the Underlay 1 inch longer, or until it shows about 1/2" out underneath the top layer, and then add the edging. Sometimes while crocheting, our tension changes, but also, your gauge for the stitching underlay may be a dad different. I hope this helps!

Thanks! What if I add one more row of the edging?

You can most definitely do that too! I think that would look lovely. I do not have the pattern in front of me, but I think it was a repeat right? If so, then definitely!

Just wanted you to know that adding an extra row of the edging made it just right! My granddaughter looked precious in it for Easter :)
