Postby silsuz » Mon May 23, 2011 6:04 pm

I am a little confused about the directions for the cluster .after I yarn over and pull up throught the 2 loops what is between [...] is followed by twice. Is it what's berween [.....] that must be done twicw because if it is there are more than 4 loops on hook to pull through. Can anyone clarify?

you repeat what is between the [ ] twice. that will give you correct number of loops to pull through at the end. let me know if that helps.

I still don't get this cluster thing. I Yo once, pull up a hoop draw through 2 loops on hook. NO problem there. But if I do [.....] twice I end up with 5 loops on hook not 4.. so hat I have done is beginning with yo. ...pulling through 2 loops, leaves me with 2 loops on crochet; then yo pull up a loop , I now Have 4 loops on crochet. I have done this twice leaving me a cluster of 4. Does that sound right?

you start with the initial loop on the hook.
yo once and pull up a loop (3 loops on hook)
yo and pull through 2 loops (2 loops left on hook)
yo once and pull up a loop (4 loops on hook)
yo and pull through 2 loops on hook( 3 loops on hook)
yo once and pull up a loop (5 loops on hook)
yo pull through 2 loops on hook (4 loops left on hook)

Cluster: Yo once, insert hook into sp indicated and pull up a loop, yo and draw through 2 loops on hook, *yo and insert hook into same sp and pull up a loop, yo and draw through 2 loops on hook, rep from * once more, yo and draw through all 4 loops on hook.

Nadine , Thanks for taking the time to respond. I feel really stupid but which is the cluster required for the Seaside Fairy Sundress? The top part of your answer or the part clearly labelled cluster?. Thanks again for helping me out

Are the top and bottom of your answer 2 ways of detailing how to make the same cluster?
