6b. I ended up starting the top edge first. Hope that was the right thing to do

I just took a look, and yes, you want to start with the top edge, so you have that correct 
Was there any other problems with working this round? Also, I am going to email you a copy of the latest version of the pattern. I do not see anything different for the edging though, so you should be fine to continue on there
