Edging on the afghan of the sandman

Working on edging, rnd 6. 5 fpdc around post of dc, this looks correct. Next corner calls for 5 dpdc around post of dc. I can not make this look correct, 5 dpdc around post looks messy. Is this correct?

the original pattern calls for the first corner to have fpdc,the second bpdc. i know lisa has emailed you concerning your question. if you need any further assistance please feel free to ask. i have made this afghan many times and love it.
