What part of the pattern are you having problems with or the specific question so we know how to help and can you post the version (A, B, C etc.) and page number?

Pattern calls for a 3.5mm (E) hook. But whatever hook you need to use to get gauge based on how tight or loose you crochet is the correct one to use. The 3.5mm is the hook Lisa used when she designed it.

I received a message from Cathy and I am going to post it here, so that we can all jump in and help and in case someone else has the same problem, but moreso, since I will be sparse the next few days (It has been birthday party madness here this weekend and tomorrow I go to Chicago. Here is the message, and I know Tralee has been helping too in messages.

I don't under stand when you're making panel A back where does the chain of 10 go? Do they attach to make the start of the bodice. I wish someone could help me so I could continue making this beautiful dress. I know that. Have left a lot of information out of the pattern.

Here is that part of the pattern for reference:
Panel A
Strap A
Row 1: With RS facing and MC, attach yarn with sl st to ch2lp marked “STRAP A” from Row 1 of Yoke.
Ch 1, ch2lp in same ch-2 sp and in each of next 2 ch-2 sps, leave remaining unworked––3 ch-2 sps
Row 2: Turn; ch 1, ch2lp in first ch-2 sp and in each of next 2 ch-2 sps.

Panel A Back
Row 1 (RS): Rep Row 2 of Strap A, at end ch 10 (10, 13, 13, 13).
Row 2: Turn; ch2lp in second ch from hook, *sk 2 ch, ch2lp in next ch. Rep from * 1 (1, 2, 2, 2) times, ch2lp in next 3 ch-2 sps on Strap A––6 (6, 7, 7, 7) ch-2 sps

When you repeat Row 2 of Strap A, you do not fasten off or anything :) So what you do, is turn, and ch2lp in each ch-2 sp (this is what it says in Row 2 of Panel A that you are repeating) - marked in green. Now, you do not fasten off, and you do not turn (yet). What you do, is make your chain (marked in blue). Your yarn should still be connected to the last ch2lp you made. So you simple chain your 10 if making the smallest size, or whatever amount of chains it says to do for your size. You will see on the next row (Row 2 marked in pink), that you will then work into those chains that you just made. After you work across in those chains, you will then work in the remainder of the ch2lps (marked in orange).

Let me know if this helps :) I know it is a very untraditional construction, but it will turn out beautiful, and fit will be incredible :)

Thank you for helping and also explaining to me how I should continue to make the strap, I think I might have the strap on the wrong side and this is what is confusing me. If you don't mind I'd like to send a picture of what my strap looks like so I can know for sure that I'm on the right track so to speak.

Thank you again

Hi Cathy :) I got them today! I am going to post them here for you. I will also pull out the pattern and go over it and cross compare with what you have here. Hopefulyl also some of the ladies can chime in too. I will not be able to do this tonight, as it is crazy science fair night and will be an all evening affair.

Thank you for sending me the photos!!
