Can you help me with the bustier. I didn’t understand the pattern when it came to the bust area. I finally gave it my mother-in-law to try and figure out. Now that I have read your discription I think i understand better but what do you mean my “small stitches”and “large stiches” ? Should I change needles? My stitches are very consistant, how would you go about making them smaller or bigger?
Thanks, Gillian
I purchased “New & Easy Cable afghans & throws” the other day because the stitches looked fabulous. However my friends and I have been unable to follow the directions and find the Stitch Guide incomplete. For example how does one do the 5fpdc cable around next st, sk st behind 5 fpdc cable etc. It is probably a simple stitch but we are all puzzled. I hope the tutorials will answer my questions.
Aha, I see now in this comment which these are from. I had someone write into email – was that you? I will make a note up on the Support forum (and here) how these are done. That is now on my to-do list!
Hell Gillian,
There is no changing of hooks. The number of sts stays the same as well What changes is the size of the sts (because the stitch changes). For example 3 dc can be considered a shell, as well as 5 dc. They are both shells, but the size of shell has changed. Does this help?
